Toddlers
The Toddler rooms at “A Child’s Touch…” are a busy, happy place full of activities designed to encourage independence and learning. Each day begins with devotions that help the children learn that God loves and cares for them. The day is full of hands-on activities that encourage discovery play and language building skills within the toddler’s day.
The toddlers are free to learn through experience and socialization. Our curriculum supports this by allowing our teachers to vary activities to follow the children’s interests. They enjoy large and small motor activities, dramatic play and diverse sensory activities. A variety of unique and creative activities are promoted to create recognition of colors, shapes and numbers. Sign language is continued in the Toddler classroom as they increase their communication and verbal skills.
Themes are built into each month. Outside interest areas and playgrounds expand our learning beyond the classroom. We visit the grocery store, the Inventors’ House and Discovery station, as well as a choice of four toddler playgrounds and a nature area. “A Child’s Touch…” is a very special place for toddlers to learn about their world in a loving and safe environment.
