Welcome to the Primary classrooms where learning takes place all day long and is hidden through fun teacher facilitated activities and play! Our rooms are very reflective of the joy we feel and the themes we are exploring, such as Circus, Pets, Sound & Motion.

Our morning starts out with free time followed by a great breakfast. Then all of our friends come together for a special group time where something new is explored along with reviewing our classroom rules. We divide into smaller groups and investigate different areas. Learning continues through more in depth investigation of numbers, shapes, colors and name recognition. Through drama and story time our daily devotions come to life. Then we go outside and have a blast on one of the playgrounds. By now we are really ready for lunch and enjoy talking with our friends as we eat.

The afternoon begins with a nap for our friends, while our teachers fill out the Daily Diaries which informs each parent of specific development and activities their child participated in throughout the day. It’s like having a window to their day and provides for some interesting conversations for parents and children. Once nap is over we get ready for snack. Primary loves to take their snack outside for a picnic whenever the weather permits. Then we find a new playground to go explore. The rest of the afternoon is filled playing with wonderful centers, which change with the theme. We also have free art at this time and always take time to listen to a story.
