Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Kindergarten program emphasizes not only self help skills and the fostering of relationships, but also academic skills and understanding God’s love. Experienced teachers strive to keep the atmosphere fun and inviting, encouraging children to ask questions, participate in messy art projects and hands on science experiments. To help the children gain a full understanding of the alphabet, we use the Letter People Program, introducing new letters each week with puppets and silly songs, and practicing letter formation on lined paper. The Letter People are used in the kindergarten program as well.
Teachers are always looking for creative, hands-on activities to help the children learn pre-reading skills, color words, and numerical and geometric concepts. On the school property, there are several interest areas that we utilize daily, where the children can further their learning outside the classroom. Each month, we introduce a new theme, such as Community Helpers, Authors, Arctic, and Multi-Cultural. We decorate our classroom to each theme of the month and encourage the children to explore the world we live in.
We are proud of our children and what they are able to do. Please stop by, and we would be happy to brag about their accomplishments that exceed the Colorado Content Standards for Pre-K.
